Freestyle:
Ensuring your hubs axle matches your dropouts in your frame is essential in BMX. For Freestyle it's pretty straight forward- 10mm (sometimes called 3/8th) and 14mm. These will always be a Slotted Dropout
The majority of the time, any half decent Freestyle BMX Bike will be running 10mm on the front and 14mm on the rear. Cheaper/older bikes will tend to use a 10mm on the front and the rear.
You will need to have the same sized Hub to match your dropouts. Eg- If you have 14mm dropouts, you will need a 14mm axle hub.
Race:
For race bikes there are a few different Dropouts. These will dictate what Hub axle you will need.
Sizes: 10mm, 15mm & 20mm.
Type: Slotted or Enclosed.
