RiseUpdated 15 days ago

Getting a new set of bars can be a big decision. Were here to make it a bit easier for you. The Rise is measured from the centre of the Stem Clamping Area to the centre of the Bar End. It is measured in Inches. Bar Rise ranges from 2 Inches to 12 Inches. Most modern Freestyle BMX Bikes/Riders will run anywhere from 9 Inches to 11 Inches.

Keep in mind that your overall setup will be influenced by your Stem (Top Load or Front Load), your headset (Spacing) and your Bar Rise. For example- A 10 Inch Bar will be slightly Higher on a Top Load Stem and slightly Lower on Front Load Stem.

Before you start looking for a new set of bars, have a play around with your Headset Stack Height. Try swapping around your headset spacers to change your height. If you find that your setup still feels too high or too low, then it's time to look at some new bars.

A small increase or decrease (1 Inch or less) can make a massive difference in how your bike feels and performs.

If you are unsure what kind of setup you are chasing, take a look at what your favourite rider is running and get a similar setup to them- that's a great place to start!

If you have the chance to rid some of your mates bikes, give them a go and see how their setup feels.
